Dr. Marilia Kaisar is a scholar and filmmaker from Greece. She holds a PhD in Film and Digital Media with a designated emphasis in Visual Studies from UC Santa Cruz. In her previous lives she has been a film critic, an architect, a sex collumnist and a ballerina.

Her experimental research practice focuses on desire, technology, affect and virtuality, using the body as a nexus point.  

She also holds a Diploma of Architecture (2015) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and a Master’s in Media Studies from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY (2018).
