Marilia Kaisar is a filmmaker and scholar from Greece. She is a PhD Candidate of Film and Digital Media at UC Santa Cruz with a Designated Emphasis in Visual Studies. In her previous lives she has been a film critic, an architect, and a ballerina.
Her experimental practice explores affect, technology and virtuality, using the body as a nexus point.
She holds a Diploma of Architecture (2015) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and a Master’s in Media Studies from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY (2018).
